For the first time ever, we are offering a 3 Day Horsemanship Retreat and Workshop right here at Free Spirit Farm. If you want to take your horsemanship skills to the next level, while learning from Shae and meeting like-minded equestrians then this workshop retreat is for you. March 21st-24th 2025

This is a 3 Day Retreat that will start with relaxation, meet & greets and continue with riding, groundwork, liberty training, and fun experiences with other equestrians. Your retreat ends with an educational presentation.

Your retreat will take place right at Free Spirit Equestrian in the heart of Michigan's horse country. Spend the day learning and riding at FSE with Shae! After we will explore the dining experiences nearby while talking horses of course. Saline, MI

To keep this workshop, retreat personal and intimate we are limiting this retreat to 6 Horse Lovers. This way we can focus on individual needs while in a group setting.

All lodging and meals are included (alcohol and hotel snacks not included). Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and the hotel are all part of the Horsemanship Retreat Package! Transportation is NOT included.

Riders must be 18+! Riders must be able to walk, halt, steer, and stop independently to be accepted into the retreat. This retreat is for advanced beginners through experienced riders and up. It's okay if you're a little rusty! Applications will be reviewed, and participants will be accepted on limited terms.

Free Spirit equestrian retreat itinerary
ARRIVAL-Rest & Rejuvenate
Arrive at the Hampton in Hotel in Saline, Michigan! Settle in for the evening, relax, open your FSE gift bag and get some rest so you can be ready to meet your Host Shae Lauren the next morning for breakfast.
DAY 1
Your day will start at the hotel where we will have breakfast and meet Shae with some Q&A! Afterwards we will meet at Free Spirit Farm for the day!

10:15am: Meet The Horses & Tour FSE
10:45am: Rider Assignments, Groom, & Tack Up
11:15am: Building Confidence Through Connection Under Saddle (Riding)
12:15pm: Understanding Correct Form Both Horse & Rider Postural Analysis (Riding)
1:15pm: Lunch Break & Discussion
2:45pm: Liberty Work (Groundwork)
3:45pm: Functional Exercises With Cones (Riding)

DAY 2
Your day will start at the hotel where we will have breakfast and meet Shae with some Q&A! Afterwards we will meet at Free Spirit Farm for the second day!

DAY 3
Day 3 will start with Breakfast at 8:30am with Shae followed by an in-depth presentation regarding finding suitable horses. This is a $1,000 course in itself that is included within your horsemanship retreat package. The course is MASTERING THE ART OF SELECTING SUITABLE HORSES. This will take place at the hotel from 9am-11am. We will provide a light lunch and snacks. Then from 11-11:30 we will answer end of retreat questions and hand out individualized plans to take home with you. Then we will say goodbye and wish you safe travels from 11:30-12pm!

All meals included Sat & Sunday (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Snack). Monday-Breakfast & Light Lunch/ Snack Only). 3 Nights at the Saline Hampton Inn Hotel, All Coaching, Instruction, Horses Provided, and Mastering The Art of Selecting Suitable Horses Course.
RETREAT EXCLUSIONS
This Retreat DOES NOT INCLUDE Rental Car, Airport Transportation, Transportation to and from the Farm, Alcohol, Hotel Snacks, Hotel INDICENTALS.

In order to join our retreat please send in your applications (listed below). Once applications are reviewed you will be notified of your approval. Upon approval a $500 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your spot for the retreat. You will be notified of your approval and sent payment information. The remaining $2,000 will be due March 1st, 2025. Upon payment you will be sent additional information and a welcome packet. This information will contain addresses, travel info, airport info, packing lists, restaurant itineraries, detailed curriculum, packing list etc.) We hope to see you soon!
