Shae is a Certified Saddle Fitter that offers her services to clients in order to achieve harmony between horse and rider. Saddles play a huge role in the partnership of the equestrian and wellness of the equine. Shae went through this program with the motivation to help horses and contribute to the circle of wellness that these hardworking equines deserve.
Saddle Fitting
Saddle fitting is not black and white and requires skill, art form, practice, and an intuitive approach along with a lifetime of learning. Saddle fittings begin with a history evaluation of your horse followed by palpations checking for any soreness in the saddle fitting area, postural analysis and then a symmetry evaluation is performed. We then collect tracings to understand your horse's shape and other various indications that the tracings may display. After gathering the needed information we then perform a static (on the ground) and under saddle (riding) evaluation of your saddle. We then will make appropriate adjustments (flocking etc), or recommendations.

So many people struggle with saddle fit and sometimes they do not have fitters in their area. Although it's always best to work with a fitter in person, sometimes that isn't possible. Shae is here to help and is offering online consult in various forms. Please see the list below. To seek her consult please send an email indicating in the title and what level is desired. We will then either answer your question, send you a form, and/or set up a video consult meeting. Payment can be sent via Venm
Level 1 Ask a Question
Many equestrians have basic or general questions when it comes to saddle fit. Ask Shae 1 question and receive a detailed response.
Level 2 Ask 3 Questions
Do you have multiple saddle fitting questions? Ask Shae 3 questions and get a detailed response.
Level 3 Picture Evaluation
Shae will evaluate your equine's conformation pictures, and will give you detailed information on your horse's shape, posture, and build. 3 saddle recommendations will be provided.
Level 4 How to do Tracings-Mini Class
Shae will guide you through the process of doing tracings via video meeting and will also interpret them after completion. You will know how to do them yourself afterwards!
Level 5-Static Saddle Evaluation
This level will be a fitting consultation that will consist of postural analysis, tracings, saddle evaluation. and 3 saddle recommendations. This will be an online fitting appointment via video.
Level 6-FULL Saddle Fitting
This level will be a fitting consultation that will consist of postural analysis, tracings, saddle evaluation, under saddle evaluation, and 5 saddle recommendations. This will be an online fitting appointment via video.
